  1. To view this CD Catalog, Acrobat ReaderTM 3.0 is required and is
  2. included with this CD.

  4. System Requirements and Installation of Acrobat ReaderTM 3.0:
  5. Windows System Requirements:
  6. 386- or 486-based personal computer (486 recommended)
  7. Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater
  8. 8MB application RAM
  9. 5MB (for 3.1) and 10MB (for Windows95) hard disk space
  10.  
  11. Installing Acrobat ReaderTM 3.0 using Windows 3.1:
  12. Exit all open applications.
  13. Insert the CD into your drive.
  14. In the Program Manager, select Run from the File drop down menu;
  15. type [CD-drive]:\Acrobatr\Windows\Rdr_srch\16bit\Setup.exe
  16. (ie: D:\Acrobatr\Windows\Rdr_srch\16bit\Setup.exe)
  17. Follow the instructions on your screen.

  19. Installing Acrobat ReaderTM 3.0 using Windows95:
  20. Exit all open applications.
  21. Insert the CD into your drive.
  22. Select start and choose Run, then choose Browse button.
  23. Select CD-ROM drive (ie: D:)
  24. Open Acrobatr > Windows > Rdr_srch > 32bit folders.
  25. Choose "Setup.exe", then choose open and click OK.
  26. Follow the instructions on your screen.

  28. Macintosh System Requirements:
  29. 68020 or greater processor
  30. 3.5MB application RAM
  31. 8MB hard disk space
  32. Apple System Software version 7.1 or later

  34. Installing Acrobat ReaderTM 3.0 using Macintosh:
  35. Quit all open applications.
  36. Insert the CD into your drive.
  37. Open ACROBATR > MAC > READERSE > READER folders.
  38. Double-click INSTALLA.0
  39. Follow the instructions on your screen.

  42. Insert the CD into your drive.
  43. Open the "MOUSER.PDF" file.

  48. For faster access, you can copy the CD to your hard drive.
  49. Allow 110MB hard disk space.
  50. For detailed information about Acrobat ReaderTM 3.0, Windows users
  51. choose "Help" from the drop-down menu on the menu bar or open 
  52. the "Help-Reader.pdf" file.  Macintosh users select "Help" button
  53. on keyboard or open the "Help-Reader.pdf" file.

  57. 1. Choose File > Preferences > Weblink...
  58. 2. Click Select to specify your World Wide Web Browser Application.

  62. How to Add the Mouser Index to the Search List:
  63. To be searchable, an index must be in the search list and it
  64. must be selected.  When you add an index to the list, it is
  65. automatically selected.
  66. 1. Choose Tools > Search > Indexes.
  67. 2. Click Add.
  68. 3. Select, in the Support folder on the CD-ROM drive, the M_INDEX.PDX file.
  69. 4. Double-click the file name or click Open.
  70. 5. Click OK.

  72. How to use AcrobatTM Search:
  73. 1. Click the Search Query button located in the toolbar or
  74. choose Tools > Search > Query.
  75. 2. Type in a Mouser stock number, description, keywords, or subject
  76. for a full search.
  77. 3. To view a document returned from the search:
  78.    A. Double-click a document that seems likely to contain the relevant
  79.       information.
  80.    B. Use the Search buttons on the toolbar to view all the occurrences
  81.       of matches for your query.

  83. Returning to point of origin from a Mouser Spec Sheet,
  84. Click on the Left Double Arrow in Tool Bar.
